Mission & History

Our mission is straightforward: to raise funds and promote awareness for individuals affected by hearing loss. Through organizing a variety of initiatives aimed at both fundraising and increasing public understanding, we have made a meaningful impact, particularly in support of Sunnybrook Hospital's efforts in this field.

Established at the beginning of 2023, Hope For Hearing was initially founded by Roy Feng and Daniel Xing as a modest school club. However, it has evolved far beyond its humble origins, growing into a prominent organization with over 12 chapters across Canada, including schools in New Brunswick, Aurora, Waterloo, and throughout the Greater Toronto Area. This expansion reflects the dedication and collaborative spirit of hundreds of student volunteers working toward a shared goal. Their combined efforts enabled us to reach our 2023 fundraising target of $10,000, a testament to the organization's commitment to creating lasting change in the lives of those affected by hearing loss.

As we continue to grow, our focus remains on empowering students and communities alike, fostering a greater understanding of hearing loss while supporting vital healthcare initiatives.
