Asli Ling & Dasha Sannikova
MEET
YOUR CHAPTER HEAD
Hi, I’m Asli Ling, a Grade 12 IB student at Saint John High School. I’m honoured to serve as the chapter head for HFH SJHS, representing the only chapter in the Maritimes. Over the past year, our chapter has actively raised funds and awareness for hearing loss. Through initiatives like snack shops, winter bazaars, and community music concerts, we’ve worked to highlight this meaningful cause. As a music enthusiast—whether performing on the violin and piano or listening to artists like Joy Chou and Zheng Runze—I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the importance of hearing. In the upcoming year, I’m committed to expanding our chapter’s impact by raising awareness, improving accessibility for those with hearing loss, and ensuring everyone gets the support they need.
Hi! I’m Dasha Sannikova, a Grade 12 student at Saint John High School. I’m passionate about art and keep busy with commission work while balancing my academic workload and a part-time job. I’m honoured to have co-founded the Saint John Chapter of Hope for Hearing alongside Asli Ling. I’ve always had a deep love for dance, exploring styles from ballet to hip-hop, which has made music an essential part of who I am. My passion for movement and expression inspires me to help others whenever I can, and I’m truly excited to continue giving back through Hope for Hearing. In the coming year, I’m eager to help our chapter grow, raise awareness about hearing loss, and work toward a world where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.
